My daughter’s zeal for music was really ignited so much after the camp… My whole family was so impressed by the caliber of music played at the concerts during the camp and just the general atmosphere of wholesome and real love of music.

I think of the sacrifices my grandmother made to bring her Irish music to this country and to share it with her six children and 18 grandchildren… she would be so proud to know that her great granddaughter attended this camp and learned to play the piano as my grandmother did, by ear!
You brought back memories of my grandmother’s box accordion that she brought over on the ship 120 years ago. I have always loved Irish music and dance, and to think that my daughter can learn this, thanks to all of you, amazes me.
My daughter’s fiddle instructor was great – good instructions, a nice way of speaking to the kids, and she also demonstrated the music beautifully and clearly.
My student has really made a leap in progress in his Irish fiddling since attending the Youth Camp.
He learnt three tunes by ear within the last week! His sense of rhythm has improved a lot too.

I enjoyed the Tune Tussle performances quite a bit as a viewer; it was very creative and so much better than listening to six groups of kids stand up and play the same three or four songs.
My kids had fun, met new friends, and learned a lot.
The instructor concerts were a great chance for the kids to hear how the music should be played, and to see how the instructors truly enjoyed the music.
Can’t wait for next year! My son said, “It was fun, but you were also learning.”

I could describe the camp setting, the instructors, concert, and BBQ as well as the time that you had the children, and it still will never tell the story of what a terrific experience it was.
